Mel Peterson of Santa Monica, CA bought this mint '64
Rampside from John Downer in July, 2002.
Mel has owned a Chevy Nova with a supercharged 6-cylinder engine for some time
but recently decided he wanted to own a Corvair truck. He first talked to Don
Schneider of Dundee, OH about the
Corvairs he has for sale. Don is planning to keep his only Rampside but he
suggested that Mel talk to John Downer in nearby Cambridge, OH.
Mel and John quickly struck a deal and a friend of Mel's
hauled the truck out to California for him. Mel said the truck is in show
condition and he will be sending me photos soon!
