Although mostly rust-free, the left quarter is trash due to
extensive collision damage. The two discolored areas are massive globs of body filler that
were applied years ago. Each glob is about 1/2" thick!The shiny areas on the
quarter show where previous grinding occured, removing the factory phosphate coating.
Note that plastic media blasting won't remove heavy concentrations of body filler or
rust, which is exactly what we wanted so that we could inspect each panel thoroughly.
