If only I had been able purchase NOS convertible quarter
panels! Instead, I bought what was available: two coupe quarter panels (from Burt Neuner in Chicago, as mentioned previously). Since the profile around the top is different for a
convertible, Brian had to splice the appropriate sections from the original convertible
quarters. (Shown at left is the right quarter.)
Fortunately Brian is a master of such work and the original panels were undamaged in
this area. |
