From a cursory front-end inspection there didn't appear to
be any rust or significant damage to the front panel.Unfortunately, upon closer
inspection, there was considerable cancer along the bottom edge of the panel, where it
attaches to the floor pan.
Burt Neuner again came to the rescue and sold
me a NOS front panel. The shot at left shows the car getting ready for the panel's
installation.
