On Thursday evening, Ken hauled the
car back to Duanne's shop for a little fine tuning.
Saturday evening was the banquet. I was thrilled that the
car received a Gold award and was promoted to the Senior division, with a
score of 98.10 points. Not bad for its first CORSA event!
Bill Jabs' '66 Canadian Corsa turbo coupe received the
William Mitchell award for the second year in a row for the highest overall
score. Duane Wentlandt received the Stock Preservation Award for the highest
overall score for a vehicle in the Factory Stock classes.
I was pleased just to be in such high-quality company,
especially since this is the first show car I have ever owned.
Thanks to Shaun
McGarvey, President of
Western Canada CORSA, for snapping this photo during the banquet.
