Lon Anderson is in the process of purchasing this Greenbrier. Here is what Lon knows about the rig so far:

"I just happened to fall into a nice deal on a 65 'Brier... and it's the first 'non-Deluxe' I've seen! The fellow I'm getting it from is in our club (Corvair Club of Cincinnati) and has had it since 1991. He bought it from the second owner who bought it in 1968! I went through the glove box and found the "Owner Protection Plan" with the metal tag in it! It was sold by Central Motor Company in Hamilton, Ohio to 'The Custom Shop', also of Hamilton.

It has the typical bottom secondary side door hinge rust out. There is no 'Lock' position on the ignition switch, and it is also a '65 style (no place to turn it on without the key in there). There is no lock on the glove box, no windshield wiper squirters, and I don't know if they are single speed or 2 speed (haven't checked yet)."

From the VIN, we know that Lon's Greenbrier was built sometime in September of 1964. Lon's rig appears to have the original engine—the code is T0916RX, indicating a mid-September build date and a '65, 110 HP, FC, PG block. The transmission appears to be original too: T0917 indicates a mid-September build date.
