Texas Truckin'
Garry Parsley of Cleburne, TX
is the newest owner of this Greenbrier. He purchased it from
Frank Sawberger of Roanoke, TX
in December, 2004. Frank previously purchased this rig from
Bill Wells. Bill
gave some history on the vehicle
in 2000:
"This van has passed through 4 or 5 people in our local club. It has not been on
the road in over 20 years. It belonged to a fellow named Joe Burch of Dallas, who kept it
in a Corvair junkyard he owned. During this time it developed cancer of the floors, due to
the deluxe floormats and bad seam sealer in the roof seams. I am currently welding in
replacement metal. It will be receiving a complete restoration."
This Greenbrier is equipped with RPO E-85 (left-side doors, making it an 8-door model),
RPO K47 (oil-bath air cleaner), and RPO Z60 (Custom equipment). It has a 110 HP engine and
a 4-speed transmission. |
