"This '65 Greenbrier was 'sent to the boneyard' several years ago. At the time I
had 14 cars in storage, paying $10/month/car, when the owner of the property decided to
sell the property. I parted out/scrapped/gave away 11 of them, and just had no more
room... However, I saved the title, VIN tag, and body tag just in case there was a chance
to 'resurrect' the van with another body, and I will if possible.
I do not treat this lightly, but years ago had a chance to buy a great '65 coupe, but
it had a title from a '67. Ever since then, I save any documentation on any vehicle I
scrap, not to try and falsify a car to an unsuspecting buyer, but possibly to save from
the crusher a good but undocumented vehicle for myself. Never had to tell the next buyer,
as I've never had to do it yet, but from what I've heard of similar transactions, the new
buyer doesn't seem to care.
It was green when I owned it, but the VIN tag also shows traces of brown."
I'm happy to have this "ex-rig" in the registry--this way we know the fate of
another Greenbrier.
