Found a good home

In June, 2026, Greg Hanlin, of Dayton, OH bought this Greenbrier from Ed Kotecki of Northfield, OH. Greg is jumping right in to get this van back on the road soon. In Greg's words:

"This Greenbrier is a 6-door van with a 4-speed transmission, AM radio, third seat, and gas heater. The original engine was gone before the previous owner purchased it out of the Carolinas, so It currently has a '65 110 car engine. I plan to find and rebuild a '65 truck engine block or entire engine to eventually have the correct engine.

Interestingly, this van has a '64 car differential in it, which I believe is what they used in the early production '65 units. The code boss appears unpunched. And, like what I’ve read about the '65 Greenbrier that Bill Jabs used to own, the right side rear control arm is from a '64 car also, with the leaf spring attachment holes in it (center hole and 3 stud holes). The left side control arm has no leaf spring attachment holes or provisions. They must have had lots of leftover control arms from '64 production!

The odometer shows 15,000 miles and it is titled as 115,000 miles. I plan to tackle some deferred maintenance–an entire new brake system, new tires, etc. and then get it on the road.

All three seats need to be recovered. The second seat was missing when purchased by the previous owner and he found a seat to replace it but it needs new upholstery also. I will get them done in the original style vinyl covers from Clark’s. It has the front and center mats, with original wear and some tears, but the engine cover mat is missing.

The underside of the van is entirely rust free and in very nice shape. Since it was a southern van and the last owner had it garaged his entire ownership, it has been very well preserved underneath."

Greg shared some photos shortly after purchase:
