Daily driver
Vernon Belmore and his wife Yvette, of Waterford, Ontario, purchased this early-production 8-door van from Don Phillips, of Norwich, Ontario in May, 2026. Don had purchased the Greenbrier from Richard Weidner in 2010. It also has a gas heater, 110 HP engine, PowerGlide transmission, third seat, radio, and West Coast mirrors. The engine date code of T0821RX indicates that this is very likely the original engine. The 8/21 build date agrees quite well with the August assembly month for the van. The RX suffix indicates it is a correct 1965 Greenbrier 110 HP engine block with automatic transmission.
Richard purchased the van in 1979 for $1100 from Ed Hohe in Coopersburg, PA. The van has been in storage since then and will probably be restored in the future. Hopefully we'll have some photos soon!
